The “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 marked a new era for Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan line. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the AJ3 ushered in a new design language from its predecessors: Jumpman Jordan logo on the tongue, Nike Air branding on the heel, a window for the Air unit, and its signature elephant print.
